KARACHI: 8th Convocation ceremony was held at Bahria University Health Sciences campus in Karachi.
Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Chief of the Naval Staff and Pro-Chancellor of Bahria University, presided over the event as the Chief Guest and presented medals and certificates of merit to students with remarkable academic accomplishments.
M Phil, MBBS, BDS, BS (Nursing), DPT, and MLT degrees were awarded to 262 graduates.
Certificates of merit and medals were presented to the winners of each position.
In his remarks, the Chief of Naval Staff congratulated the students, parents, and staff on reaching a major milestone in their lives, and he lauded the students' and BUHSC faculty's tremendous efforts.
The Chief Guest emphasized that by choosing health education as a professional path, the students had chosen a highly honourable profession that serves all of humanity without distinction or discrimination.
In addition, he anticipated that young BUHSC graduates would spend time in rural areas of the country, which would undoubtedly contribute to the health care of the underprivileged.
Earlier in his welcome address, Rector of Bahria University Vice Admiral Kaleem Shaukat (Retired) emphasized key developmental projects underway at BUHSC, such as the Dental College under construction and the expansion of On-Campus student housing.
He highlighted developing a PhD program in Health Sciences and FCPS training in dental topics on the academic front.
Dean Health Sciences performed the Oath Taking Ceremony after the event.
Senior authorities from the Pakistan Navy, Bahria University, and the medical community attended the Ceremony.
