New MRI equipment, revamped emergency unit at NICVD 

KARACHI: The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) further enhanced the healthcare services for the patients with the inauguration of the Sola 1.5 T Cardiovascular MRI and a revamped emergency department.

 Sindh Minister for Health & Population Welfare Department, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho,  inaugurated the new facilities alongside NICVD Executive Director Prof Tahir Saghir and its former executive director Prof Nadeem Qamar.

In her keynote address on the occasion, Dr Pechuho stressed the importance of these new facilities and lauded NICVD for its commitment to delivering world-class cardiovascular care and continual improvement.

Terming these facilities a major step in the efforts to enhance healthcare services in the region, the minister said NICVD's expansion is aimed at  ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. “I commend the NICVD team for their dedication to excellence," she added.

Prof Tahir Saghir in his welcome speech underscored NICVD's remarkable progress and advancements in the field of cardiovascular diseases, as well as its expansion throughout the province.

"The introduction of the Sola 1.5 T Cardiovascular MRI and the newly renovated emergency department mark a significant step forward in NICVD's ongoing mission to provide state-of-the-art cardiovascular care to the people of Sindh and beyond," Prof Saghir said. "These enhancements reflect our commitment to excellence and dedication to serving the community with the highest quality of medical care."

The guests were given a tour of the newly inaugurated facilities, which are equipped with cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional patient care.

With these new developments, NICVD further solidifies its position as a leading institution in the field of cardiology.
