KARACHI - Voicing concern over flood situation in the country, Pakistan Medical Association’s (PMA) Karachi chapter has offered its assistance to flood victims, particularly concerning possible outbreak of different flood-related diseases.

The executive committee of PMA which met here at the PMA House with its president Prof M. Idrees Adhi in the chair took serious notice of high incidence of hepatitis and unavailability of its vaccines and drugs of the disease in Sindh.

The meeting demanded of the Sindh government to immediately revive the hepatitis cell as it was working satisfactorily.

Deploring that Sindh government had not yet provided `support money’ to the families of doctors killed in targeted attacks, the meeting demanded of the government to honour its commitment in this regard.

At the outset, the meeting was apprised about the Pak-China Med Con (medical congress) which is schedule to be held in January 2016.
