PESHAWAR: To stem the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa initiated a crackdown on unvaccinated individuals and those disregarding the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
As per the report, the KP district administration officials performed a surprise visit to various public locations, including commercial centres, inter-district transportation bus stops, and wedding halls, to assess people's immunisation certificates.
Additionally, the team provided the second vaccine dosage to partially vaccinated individuals at public transportation terminals and markets, based on their eligibility.
According to the sources, administrative officials paid visits to wedding venues around Peshawar's Ring Road to ensure that the number of attendees attending wedding celebrations complied with the National Command and Operation Centre's regulations. Moreover, the district administration urged the public to get booster dosages to safeguard themselves against Omicron.
