ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives presided over a critical meeting to evaluate the progress of the Jinnah Medical Complex, a flagship project aimed at enhancing healthcare and medical research in Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by prominent officials, including Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Health; Prof. Khalid Saeed Akhtar, Secretary of the National Health Services; the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA); and representatives from Bostan Consultants, who are spearheading the project design.
Master Plan Presentation and Approval
A comprehensive presentation on the project's Master Plan was delivered by Bostan Consultants, detailing infrastructure, research facilities, and healthcare provisions within the complex. After thorough deliberation, the committee unanimously approved the plan, marking a significant step toward the realization of this ambitious initiative.
During the discussion, the federal minister proposed renaming the project to Jinnah Medical Research Center to better align with its emphasis on advanced medical research and state-of-the-art healthcare services.
Vision for the Project
The Jinnah Medical Complex, envisioned as a national hub for medical innovation, will integrate cutting-edge research facilities with patient care services. The renamed Jinnah Medical Research Center is expected to attract national and international collaborations, fostering a transformative approach to medical science in Pakistan.
