BEIJING: The Embassy of Pakistan in China hosts the launch of APPS China to provide Pakistani medical professionals in China with a platform to network and enhance their careers.
APPS Global, known as the largest network of Pakistani doctors, dentists, nurses, scientists, and allied health professionals worldwide, spanning over five continents, has extended its reach with the inception of APPS China.
The journey of APPS began nearly two decades ago in the UK, expanding its footprint to Europe in 2020 and subsequently establishing branches across major European countries, including Germany. In 2021, APPS Middle East was launched, further solidifying its global presence.
The primary objective of APPS China is to provide a platform for Pakistani health professionals and medical students in China to collaborate, network, and advance their careers while contributing to the development of healthcare systems in Pakistan.
This was reported by China Economic Net, quoting Dr. Abdul Rehman Shahid, President of APPS Europe, who introduced the APPS China initiative and highlighted the network's associations across various countries.
Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, President of China Pakistan Medical Association, emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Health Corridor projects, outlining the status and opportunities available for students and healthcare professionals in various medical sectors. He congratulated the APPS Global team for their initiative.
First Secretary Dr. Awais Zafar and Madam Afifa Awais Zafar, the Education Attache at the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, commended the APPS team for their efforts and welcomed the initiative, expressing their belief that APPS China would create new avenues for Pakistani medical students and healthcare professionals to excel in their field and explore career opportunities in Europe.
Dr. Abdul Hafeez, the Founder of APPS UK, and Dr. Shaista Meraj, the Director General of APPS Europe, pledged their full support for APPS China and encouraged medical students and professionals to pursue career opportunities in Europe. Dr. Abbas Ahmad, Board Director of APPS, also conveyed his messages of support.
The event was also attended by Dr. Bilal Shamsi, Dr. Haroon Mujahid, and approximately 70 medical students and healthcare professionals, showing an enthusiastic response to the launch of APPS China.
