EDO: Dr. Ogbonnanya Chiamaka, a doctor at the Irrua Teaching Hospital in the Esan Central government area of Edo State, Nigeria, was detained for child abuse, according to the police.

The victim, identified as Miss Comfort Nmeson "F", who is 13 years old, arrived at 'Emando Secondary school' in Ekpoma on June 22, 2022, carrying her luggage and seeming weak, according to a statement signed by police spokeswoman Jennifer Iwegbu.

Upon investigation by the school's instructors, the youngster stated that she no longer wished to remain with her guardian and asked to be returned to her birth mother due to her guardian's constant physical abuse with a stick.As a result, the educator reported the abuse to the proper authorities for further action. The police apprehended the guardian as Dr Ogbonnaya Chiamaka "F", 41 years old. After the completion of the inquiry, Dr Ogbonnaya Chiamaka would be charged in court.
