KARACHI- National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and Aman Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to partner for providing ambulance services and pre-hospital care to cardiac patients, throughout the province of Sindh.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at NICVD, Karachi in the presence and management of both the organizations. As per the agreement, NICVD is in charge of Life-Saving Ambulances of Aman Foundation for providing transportation and emergency services to the patients at all NICVD Satellite Centers and its Chest Pain Units. This would be an addition to the existing fleet of NICVD ambulance service.
Executive Director, NICVD, Prof Dr. Nadeem Qamar, stated that, 25 well-equipped life-saving ambulances will further facilitate heart patients in a safe manner. These ambulances will be managed by specialized paramedics, trained and qualified for emergency scenarios.
Furthermore, he added that the ambulances will be dedicated to all NICVD’s Satellite Centers and Chest Pain Units and will aid in providing quality cardiac healthcare facilities to masses at their doorstep.
