Provincial Health Minister Reviews Performance Of Sindh Health Care Commission

KARACHI- Provincial Caretaker Minister for Health, Education and Population Welfare Sindh Dr. Saadia Rizvi, reviewed the performance of Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) and directed the concerned officials to launch small pilot projects for the implementation of health related code of conduct, at a district level.


Secretary Health Sindh, Dr. Usman Chachar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Minhaj A Qidwai and other members of SHCC attended this review meeting.


On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Minhaj A Qidwai, notified the Health Minister that, hiring process of the required staff would be completed in two months. He also informed that about 3,000 applications had been received for registration and is under scrutiny.


The Health Care Commission has successfully started operating all over Sindh, and has received 11 complaints against healthcare establishments, so far. Soon, action would be taken against the culprits.


Furthermore, Dr. Qidwai added that, tender has also been issued to obtain data of healthcare establishments across the province of Sindh, and that survey would be conducted soon.
