LAHORE: In a significant step toward strengthening public health initiatives and improving governance, the Civil Service Academy (CSA), Lahore, and the Health Services Academy (HSA) have formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The agreement, signed by Director General CSA Lahore, Farhan Aziz Khawaja, and Vice Chancellor HSA, Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, is designed to enhance the capacity of civil servants by equipping them with the latest knowledge and skills in public health, preventive care, and sustainable development. This partnership marks a crucial milestone in integrating health policy, research, and innovation into Pakistan’s governance framework.

The MoU focuses on capacity-building programs that will introduce civil servants to modern public health challenges, research methodologies, and evidence-based policy-making. By fostering collaboration between governance and healthcare institutions, the initiative seeks to drive meaningful change in preventive healthcare, healthy aging, and sustainable health development.

This strategic partnership also aligns with Pakistan’s broader vision of public sector reform, digital governance, and health system strengthening. Through joint training programs, workshops, and research projects, the collaboration is set to enhance the effectiveness of public administration in tackling healthcare challenges and improving service delivery nationwide.

With the Civil Service Academy (CSA) and Health Services Academy (HSA) joining hands, this initiative is expected to set a new benchmark for cross-sector collaboration, governance excellence, and public health advancements in Pakistan.
