YDA for probe into death of PUMHS ex-HO 

NAWABSHAH: Expressing deep concern and grief over the tragic death of Dr. Maira Khuwaja, a former house officer, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) at the People’s University of Medical and Health Sciences (PUMHS) has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident occurring under mysterious circumstances.

A rally in Dr. Khuwaja’s honour is scheduled for tomorrow at the MS Office, with YDA urging all members, colleagues, and supporters to join in this call for accountability and justice.

Dr. Khuwaja, also a recent FCPS Part 1 qualifier from PUMHS, was discovered dead at her residence under mysterious circumstances, with a sharp incised wound found on the left side of her neck. Her untimely death has left the medical community in shock and mourning.

The response from Dr. Khuwaja’s family has reportedly raised further questions, prompting YDA PUMHS to demand a comprehensive investigation and the swift apprehension of any individuals involved, describing the death as a “deliberate and heinous act.”

The association expressed its commitment to seeking justice on behalf of Dr. Khuwaja and affirmed its resolve to ensure those responsible are held accountable.

In the absence of Dr. Khuwaja’s parents, YDA PUMHS has pledged to take an active role in pursuing justice on behalf of its late member.
