RAWALPINDI: At least six children were injured in dog-bite incidents in Rawalpindi. The attacks occurred in the Rahim Town area, where children aged 3 to 13 were playing in the street when a dog suddenly attacked them. They were promptly taken to DHQ Hospital for treatment.
Municipal Corporation officials stated that the area is managed by the Cantonment Board. A campaign to address the issue of stray dogs is ongoing, including the euthanasia of six to seven stray dogs in the vicinity. Officials also noted that dogs involved in biting incidents have been removed as part of this initiative.
