Burn victims of plane crash will be provided with best facilities: Governor Sindh

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail recently visited the Burns Centre, Civil Hospital Karachi, and inquired about the health of three women who acquired burn injuries following the plane crash.

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) Member National Assembly (MNA) Aftab Siddiqui, Members of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Khurram Sher Zaman, Jamal Siddiqui, and Mehmood Moulvi were also present on occasion.

Governor Sindh directed the hospital’s administration and doctors to provide the best available services to the burn victims. He inquired about the health of three housemaids, including Mahira, Naheeda, and Azeeza, who sustained injuries in the plane crash in the residential area of Model Colony.

The doctors informed the Governor and others that Naheeda received 59% burns injuries while Mahira and Azeeza received 30% injuries in the plane crash tragedy.

MNA Aftab Siddiqui and Mehmood Moulvi announced Rs0.5million for the crash victims on behalf of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

Governor Imran Ismail, while talking to the press, said that the federal government would compensate the residents of Model Colony whose houses and vehicles were damaged in the plane crash via the Civil Aviation Authority. He informed that the data concerning the damage inflicted on the houses and vehicles are being compiled for compensation.

The Federal Minister for Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, has been instructed to quickly complete the rehabilitation work, and no slackness will be accepted in this regard, noted the Governor. He said an inquiry report has not been revived as yet and urged the public to avoid sharing fake news on social media.

Imran Ismail said a team of DNA experts led by Dr Humayun has already reached Karachi, and sampling of the unidentified dead bodies is currently underway. He said that the final result would be revived within 10 to 15 days.
