Punjab Police arrests suspects involved in journalist's murder

LAHORE: Punjab Police claimed to have arrested two accused allegedly involved in the murder of Husnain Shah, a local journalist.

Fayyaz Ahmed, Capital City Police Officer, Lahore, stated during a media briefing that police had apprehended two of the killers of Husnain Shah. He added that the remaining two accused would also be detained soon.

He emphasised that their primary objective was to identify people responsible for the crime. He further articulated that police officer needs evidence to apprehend the preparator, and every individual would be equal in the eyes of the law.

While commenting on the motive of the murder, Fayyaz Ahmed enlightened the audience that Aamir Butt murdered Hussain Shah due to financial issues.
