MUZAFFARGARH: A nurse reportedly thwarted a rape and murder attempt by a rickshaw driver by alerting a lady doctor to her location in Muzaffargarh.
According to police, the the nurse boarded a rickshaw at Kachhari Chowk to return home from a private hospital.
Sensing the rickshaw was taking an unfamiliar route, the nurse shared her location with a lady doctor from the hospital, who immediately alerted a police officer and tracked the rickshaw with his assistance.
Meanwhile, the rickshaw driver allegedly attempted to assault the nurse near the Mondka Bypass, but police intervened timely, making the accused flee amid aerial firing.
Police have registered a case against two suspects on charges of rape and attempted murder. The rickshaw has been taken into custody, and raids are ongoing to apprehend another suspect.
