ISLAMABAD: Through the "Social Health Protection, Phase-III" initiative, the Government of Germany has provided aid to the Government of Pakistan in the amount of Euro 1.785 Million for Gilgit Baltistan and Euro 5.72 Million for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (a total of Euro 7.5 Million).
In this regard, a signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
In Islamabad, Dr Kazim Niaz, Secretary of EAD, and Mr Sebastian Jacobi, Country Director of the German Development Bank (KfW), signed the Financial Agreement.
The project aims to improve access for the poorest population in the program region by reducing financial barriers and bolstering the availability of qualified services.
Concurrently, the research will contribute to the identification of sustainable health system financing strategies.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs thanked the German government and people for their support and pledged to give all necessary facilitation for future collaboration between the two parties.
