Doctors save life of patient on-board Karachi bound flight from Faisalabad

Karachi: A joint effort of the Cardiologists returning from the CardioCon 2016 saved life of a female passenger on-board Pakistan International Airline PK-341 inbound to Karachi from Faisalabad. The patient had a cardiac pain shortly after takeoff from the Faisalabad on Sunday night. 

The patient, female - aged 21, felt discomfort shortly after the takeoff of Pk-341 from Faisalabad to Karachi. The captain of the flight announced if any doctor was onboard to attend to the patient. PK-341, to Karachi from Faisalabad was carrying delegates returning after attending the CardioCon 2016 in Faisalabad.

Several doctors attended the patient having a cardiac event and stabilized the patient with inflight resources available until the flight could land in Karachi and proper medical care could be provided to the patient.

Shortly after the flight landed in Karachi, the patient was handed over to the ground paramedical staff for treatment.
