OEC to send 100 female nurses to Malaysia

ISLAMABAD: Some 100 Pakistani female nurses will be provided to a Malaysian firm by the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a department under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.

The demand for female nursing staff in Malaysia has been increasing due to the high qualifications and expertise of the health professionals already working in various hospitals across the country.

An OEC official said that the organization has announced the acceptance of applications from job seekers interested in positions in Malaysia, detailing the required qualifications and experience.

According to the OEC announcement, 100 nurses are needed for ICU positions, while the applicants must hold a diploma in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a Post-RN degree from a recognized institution.

Besides, candidates must be registered with the Nursing Council and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a hospital setting.

Preference will be given to those with specialized post-basic training in operating theatre (OT), intensive care unit (ICU), and pediatric care. The age limit for applicants is 45 years.

The basic monthly salary for these positions ranges from 3,000 to 4,500 Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
