23rd Hamdard University Convocation 2019

The 23^rd Hamdard University Convocation 2019 was held at the Abdul Moueed Hall in the main campus, Bait-ul Hikma, Hamdard University. All the students and their parents were seated in their allocated area. The convocation began with the entrance of the academic procession. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by an annual report of Hamdard University by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Shabib ul Hassan. Then the Dean of each Faculty was invited to the stage for taking an oath for their respective professions which included the faculty of pharmacy, faculty of law, faculty of management sciences, faculty of engineering, faculty of health sciences & faculty of social sciences. This was followed by a medal distribution ceremony to the students who scored the highest marks in academics in which the best graduate of each session was also declared.



Chancellor, Hamdard University, Madam Sadia Rashid, in her speech congratulated all the graduates and their parents. She quoted, “Now you are going to begin a very important stage of life, work hard with devotion and sincerity to raise the name of your Alma Mater to further heights.”

The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. In his speech, he praised the contribution of Shaheed Hakeem Mohammad Said and Hamdard University in the field of Education & Research. He promised that the government would provide help for those students who want to do research & further studies in their respective fields. He elaborated the contribution in education and research by the newly elected government to provide support to the youth of Pakistan in various aspects. He advised the graduating class of students to work hard with devotion if they wish to excel in their respective fields. The entire ceremony ended with a Dua-e-Said presented by the students of the Hamdard Village School followed by the departure of the academic procession.

Dr Farah & Dr Dania received get gold medals in the field of dentistry. Principal, Hamdard Dental College, Prof Dr Syed Imran Hasan congratulated all the dental graduates and their parents on this big achievement.
