CHK’s Authorities Urges DMC For Measures Against Absentee Doctors

KARACHI- Dr. Ruth K.M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), management has urged the Principal, Dow Medical College (DMC) to take action against faculty members and postgraduate doctors who didn’t show up for their assigned duties, during the emergency declared by Sindh Government, in connection of Youm e Ali, that was observed on 21st of Ramadan.


Sources at CHK disclosed that, the hospital administration wrote a letter to Dow Medical College’s (DMC) Principal, seeking serious action against those postgraduate doctors and faculty members who broke hospital protocol and remained absent.


Moreover, this is not the first time that faculty members or PGs observed self granted leave during hospital induced emergency codes, negatively affecting the performance of wards and emergencies.


The hospital administration has taken this act of negligence very seriously and recommended that action must be taken against all staff members, involved in this foul act.


Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr. Muhammad Taufiq was not available for comments.
