KARACHI: After months of unpaid wages, health employees at Karachi's largest vaccination centre, the Expo Centre, refused to work since they had not been paid for months.

According to the report, employees at three city vaccination centres, including Expo Centre, Dow University Ojha campus, and Khaliq Dina hall, had been denied wages by the province's health department because of the protest.

No progress had been made in talks between the provincial director of health and the health workers, as a boycott of vaccinations at the Expo Center had continued for the fifth day in a row.

As per sources, if the Sindh Accountant General office does not release the paramedics' salary for the last few months, they will not begin the process.
