KARACHI-Pharmacists have become a necessary in hospitals for evaluation of medicines prescribed for the ailing patients and students of Pharmacy have a bright future in Healthcare”. This was stated by Sardar M Yasin Malik, while addressing the students on commencement day of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) Batch XI, Ziauddin University on Tuesday.
Fresh batch of 112 students enrolled for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University were inducted at a simple ceremony here in Karachi.
“Fresh batches of students are now entering the professional world, where progress is linked with efforts and the hard work would bear fruits for the successful professionals”, Sardar Yasin Malik said.
Vice Chancellor, Ziauddin University, Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim, welcomed the fresh batch of students and their parents. He said that; So far, ten batches have been successfully trained in the skills and knowledge of pharmacy. Now the 11th batch has been inducted into the Pharm. D five years course and on completion, would be fully trained as professionals, to become a part of the knowledge-based society, necessary for development and growth of the country.
He said that the medical profession was no longer generic and has specialized areas. The students must exercise punctuality and productive time management in order to achieve professional excellence.
Prof. Dr N.A. Jafarey, Prof Dr Anwar Ejaz Baig, Prof Ali Akbar Sial, Dr Nida Hussain, Raza Abbas also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Muhammad Yousuf, Registrar, Ziauddin University handed over the rolls of 112 fresh students of 11th batch in the discipline of Pharm. D to the Ali Akbar Sial, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy.
