GSK resumes Panadol production

Islamabad: GSK has received the go-ahead to increase the prices of Panadol by over 25% as announced by the Ministry of Finance. The multinational has henceforth recommenced the manufacture of the renowned Paracetamol.

Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and numerous well-known pharmaceutical companies came together for a meeting on Wednesday 26th October 2022, where the matter was discussed. Mr Ishaq Dar had given the approval to increase the price of Paracetamol due to the increased production costs of the over-the-counter pain medication.

According to the Finance Minister, prices of regular Panadol have increased by 25.67% , Panadol Extra by 25.67% , whereas the price of syrup-based medication has increased by 12.21%
