Two student factions at JPMC clashed, 20 injured

KARACHI: At least 20 students were injured in a fight between two student organizations on the grounds of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

According to a JPMC spokesperson, 20 students were hurt in the clash, two of them were shot.  After the fight, law enforcement authorities (LEA) were in charge, according to him.


Amir Khan, Ali Khan, Asif, Sanaullah, Ali Shan, Parviz, Gulab, Sajid, Arif, Kashif, Ameer Ali, Munir Ahmed, Sagar Ali, Daniyal Abbasi, Kashan Abbasi, Abdul Razzak Ali, Wafa Asad, Arshad, and Saleem were all hurt in the incident.

An early-morning altercation broke out between two student groups near the blood bank, which lasted until 4:00pm. Conflicts have erupted despite the administration's best efforts. According to the hospital's spokesperson, a security warning was issued by hospital administration following the event, and police and Rangers were also summoned. 

After a fight between two student organizations, the terror spread among the patients and their attendants. Some activists were detained in a crackdown on two student organizations.
