CHK Declares Emergency In Light Of Upcoming General Election

KARACHI- Under the directives of Sindh’s Health Department, Dr. Ruth K.M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) has declared emergency during the general election day, which is scheduled to be held on July 25, 2018.

The Additional Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr. Arif Niaz has been appointed as the focal person. All doctors, nurses, paramedical staff must fulfill their assigned duties, in their respective wards and OPDs.

All heads of the departments are required to provide medical cover, including standby arrangements for medical, surgical or special care and to remain prepared for any uncalled  emergency situation. The doctors, nursing and paramedical staff’s sanctioned leaves have been suspended until further notice. Any non-compliance by the hospital’s staff would lead to stern disciplinary action against them.
