ISLAMABAD: Urgent action was taken by Imran Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to adopt steps connected to the country's ongoing health-related programmes.
He expressed his pleasure at the Naya Pakistan National Health Card being the most outstanding health sector initiative in Pakistan's history while presiding over a meeting on health-sector improvement.
Dr Faisal Sultan, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, and Dr Taimur Saleem Jhagra were among those in attendance at the meeting.
While many wealthy countries do not have comprehensive health care, "the poor and middle class will benefit most from this health card," said Imran Khan.
In relation to health facilities and ongoing projects, Imran Khan was briefed by officials from all three provinces on the status of these initiatives.
