KARACHI: According to Sindh's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Sindh's several districts have been issued a heatwave alert requiring all responsible departments to take essential measures.
There have been letters from the PDMA Sindh to the district administrations of Karachi and other cities and the districts of Dadu, Badin, and Tharparker.
Pakistan's Meteorological Department has warned that Sindh's interior will experience a heatwave till May 2nd.
Temperatures in Dadu, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Sukkur districts may soar to 46-48 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures may reach up to 45 degrees Celsius in the districts of Badin, Tharparker, Umerkot, and Hyderabad.
A heatwave warning has been issued for peak hours of the day.
During this time, expect temperatures in Karachi to reach 36-38 degrees Celsius, which is hot and humid for the city.
