New Congo virus case in Quetta

QUETTA: A new case of Congo virus has been reported in Quetta, as a patient from Qila Saifullah tested positive for the disease.
After confirmation of the virus, the 32-year-old patient has been admitted to the isolation ward at Fatima Jinnah Hospital, Quetta, for treatment.
Hospital sources say this is the 13th case of Congo virus reported in Pakistan this year. Unfortunately, one patient has already succumbed to the virus in 2024.
