Herbalists will Need Licenses to Practice

KARACHI- Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) alongside members of National Council of Tibb, Government of Pakistan, agreed to coordinate with each other, in terms of registering and providing licenses to herbalists, throughout the province of Sindh.


This meeting was chaired by the Chairman, SHCC, Prof Dr. Tipu Sultan while, CEO, SHCC,  Dr. Minhaj A Qidwai and members of National Council of Tibb, Hakim Nasim Qasmi, Hakim Farid Faizi, Hakim Siraj Uddin Chandio and Hakim Zulfiqar Ali Siddiqui were also present.


 Hakim Naseem Qasmi was designated as the Senior herbalist, in charge of the registration and licensing process.


It was further discussed that, a team of herbalists will be constituted in each district of province, out of which, minimum two herbalists along side Director SHCC, will visit health facilities and  present their recommendations for registration process. Licenses will be issued to herbalists after the completion of their registration process.


Herbalists from all over the province were advised to send their qualifications, with applications to their concerned representatives.
