Emergency room at Mayo Hospital flooded by rainfall

LAHORE: Heavy rains in Lahore have caused the roofs of Mayo Hospital's new emergency room to leak, leading to significant issues. Rainwater has also seeped into the operation theaters within the emergency area, causing difficulties for patients due to water accumulation. Additionally, the emergency lifts, which were installed during recent renovations, have also been affected by the flooding.
The hospital administration has reported the issue to the Construction and Works (C&W) department, highlighting the poor condition of the new emergency room. Efforts are underway to drain the water from the affected areas. According to the administration, the rainwater entered through the central ventilation system.
