KARACHI- Child Life Foundation, in collaboration with the Government of Sindh, inaugurated a Children’s Emergency block at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), in order to provide quality emergency care, free of cost, to residents and children of Nazimabad and its surrounding areas.
The new Children’s Emergency at ASH, is a 50 bedded facility, equipped with modern, fully automated machines, cardiac monitors, defibrillator, phototherapy units and a well stocked pharmacy. The Pediatricians, paramedical and other helping staff are qualified, and well trained to manage emergency cases. All forms of treatment and medicines will be provided free of cost.
Child Life Foundation came into being in year 2011, with a focused mission to provide every child of the country with affordable emergency care of good quality. Child Life Foundation has dedicated its sole purpose of working to save lives of critically ill children, admitted in government teaching hospitals of Sindh.
With a network of five children emergencies across the city of Karachi, no child is more than 30 minutes away from a state of the art emergency care system. Till date, approximately 1.8 million children have been treated by these child care facilities.
This Children’s ER is yet another achievement of Child Life Foundation, with a vision to benefit young patients with early and easy access to quality emergency care.
