Shaukat Tarin comments on inflation, other economic issues

ISLAMABAD: Shaukat Tarin, Minister of Finance, Revenue & Economic Affairs, Pakistan, recently commented on the economic conundrums of Pakistan. 

During the press conference, he stated that Imran Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, would not tolerate any kind of malfeasance in the country. He enlightened that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government highlighted and tried to control the crisis of sugar and wheat in the country.

Further, he stressed that obtaining a loan from International Monetary Fund (IMF) was vital for the economy of Pakistan. He also commented on the surging inflation and prices of automobiles and cellphones. He expressed that these measures are mandatory to ameliorate the economy of Pakistan. 

He appreciated the work of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and stated that government would work to control inflation and the current account deficit.
