KYIV: The Pakistan Embassy in Ukraine has safely evacuated a large number of trapped Pakistani pupils and nationals despite the challenging scenario following Russian forces’ attacks on key towns of the country.

In a voice message on his Twitter handle, Dr Noel Israel Khokhar, Pakistan’s ambassador to Ukraine, said that there were roughly 3,000 students in Ukraine, and most of them had been safely evacuated.

He claimed approximately 500 to 600 were left in the war-hit country and the embassy was in the process to safely evacuate them. The ambassador added that they were making feverish efforts despite ordeals and hardships in Ukraine.
