PWA organizes ‘Bake-Sale’ fundraising event at CHK 

KARACHI: The Patients Welfare Association (PWA) hosted their annual fundraising Bake-Sale at the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi in an attempt to serve the underprivileged patients.

The purpose of conducting this yearly event is the collection of funds from participants, donors, and sponsors to provide free of cost medical services to impoverished patients of Civil Hospital, in particular, and the entire city, in general.

The event was filled with mouthwatering food, skillfully crafted handicrafts, and glittered with the presence of stars and celebrities.

Chairman, Al Karam Towel Industry, Mehtabuddin Chawla, was the chief guest of the event. Eminent philanthropist, Tariq Shafi, and Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital, Karachi, Dr Rubina Bashir, also visited different stalls of the event.

PWA is the largest student-run organization situated in Civil Hospital Karachi and is operated entirely by the students of Dow Medical College (DMC). The PWA provides free of cost services of blood transfusion and Thalassemia Day Care to the underprivileged patients.
