COVID-19 takes lives of 181 healthcare professionals in Pakistan
Arsalan Shaikh 02:40 PM, 26 Dec, 2020 KARACHI: At least 181 healthcare professionals have died due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) across Pakistan, including 154 doctors and 27 nurses and paramedical staff. As per statistics issued by the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA-Centre), COVID-19 has claimed 65 doctors lives in Punjab, 48 in Sindh, 32 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five in Balochistan, three in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and one in Gilgit-Baltistan, respectively. In Sindh, a total of 54 healthcare workers died due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) so far, including 48 doctors and six other medical staff. The statistics said nine paramedical staff members, nine nurses, three dispensers, one pharmacist, and five others died of COVID-19 so far in the country. -MN Report
