LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir has lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for introducing transformative changes in the province’s healthcare sector, terming it a leap forward towards ensuring universal access to quality healthcare, setting a new benchmark of excellence in the region.
In recent statements, Mr Nazir praised the launch of the air ambulance service, calling it a "dream come true" for the people of Punjab, who previously faced limited access to emergency medical care. He said this innovative service will ensure timely, specialized treatment, potentially saving lives and offering critical support to families in need.
With these fully funded healthcare programs the CM has guaranteed equitable access to healthcare facilities for the poor and marginalized communities, instilling a sense of hope and security among them, the minister said.
The minister explained that the air ambulance service is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and staffed by highly trained professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care in emergencies. This service is expected to be particularly beneficial for residents of remote or rural areas, enabling swift and efficient access to specialized medical care, he added.
He said the CM’s commitment to improving healthcare has set a new standard for the province, positioning Punjab as a model for others to follow.
