Chancellor Ziauddin University taken into custody by NAB

Karachi: According to media report, Chancellor Ziauddin University & Former federal minIster of petroleum, Dr Asim Hussain was taken into custody by sensitive agencies in Karachi

Dr. Asim, who is considered as a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari, was facing several cases of corruption filed against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

He was appointed as federal petroleum minister during PPP government in 2008. He was currently serving as Chairman Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC).

Today, according to media reports, officials of sensitive agencies raided Dr. Asim’s residence in Clifton area and collared him for investigation into the corruption charges.
