KARACHI- Medical and Social Welfare Committee of Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi, in collaboration with Essa Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre, organized a free medical camp for its members at the Manzer Akbar Hall.
The Medical camp was held under the supervision of Chairman, Medical and Social Welfare Committee, Dr. SM Qaisar Sajjad, where more than 200 members of ACP were provided with free consultations and diagnostic facilities during this medical camp. The Essa Lab staff performed blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and BMD tests of the members.
President Arts Council of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Shah also paid a visit to the medical camp and reviewed the medical facilities that were being provided to the members.
Dr. Mehboob Baloch informed that, diseases like blood pressure instability, diabetes, high cholesterol and osteoporosis have become common in urban and rural areas of Pakistan, all due to poor dietary habits and lifestyle.
He advised the general public to avoid junk food, maintain a balanced diet, go for regular check ups of blood pressure and diabetes, live an active lifestyle by performing exercises to stay away from diseases.
