Mithi: Authorities of the Mithi Civil Hospital confirmed the deaths of three more infants on the 24th of November, bringing the total death toll of the calamity to 80 this month.

The drought has claimed more than 300 lives so far as a result of poverty, lack of medical facilities and malnutrition. As the situation continues to deteriorate, the Pakistan People’s Party is being blamed for not planning and implementing immediate measures to control the situation and to prevent mortalities.

Mithi and adjoining localities affected by the drought are devoid of fully equipped medical facilities and welfare institutions catering to the needs of those suffering. Measures need to be adopted with immediate effect by the Sindh Government to address the issue and to provide malnourished people with adequate provisions of food and medication.
