ISLAMABAD: Some individuals in certain categories are exempted from the interview requirement for USA Visa.

Exemption form Interview for USA Visa

According to the US Embassy in Pakistan statement, certain Pakistani visa applicants for USA visa now qualify for an interview waiver.

Visas for students, exchange visitors, temporary workers, and non-blanket L (internal transferees) are all free from this requirement. 

No need of an Interview for a USA Visa

These individuals are now exempt from USA visa interview requirements at the US embassies/consulates in Islamabad and Karachi.

It is possible to apply for Pakistani nationals who have previously had a USA visa through this programme. 

With this new policy, interview-free visas for qualified Pakistanis will be easier to obtain, which the US Embassy in Islamabad says will improve customer service and expedite visa processing.

According to the statement, certain eligible visa applicants may still be asked to attend interviews at the US Embassy or Consulate-General following the filing of their applications.
