In light of the new surge in Covid 19 cases in Pakistan, that recorded 268 new infections, one death, and a positivity ratio of 2.14 percent, according to the National Institute of Health Pakistan. Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has released social guidelines or SOPS, for the general public to follow in order to curb the stats surrounding the positivity ratio.
These guidelines include:
1. Mandatory and correct usage of masks, especially in social settings.
2. Wash hands in regular intervals. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
3. Keep a two-arm, social distance between yourself and others.
4. Avoid shaking hands or hugging during social gatherings
5. Do not share cutlery etc with other people.
6. Contact the primary care facility, if you’re feeling difficulty in breathing during isolation or quarantine.
