DC South imposes micro-smart lockdown 

KARACHI: Irshad Sodhar, Deputy Commissioner, District South, Karachi, had imposed a micro smart lockdown in Saddar, Civil Lines, and Garden after a surge in COVID-19 cases. 

Due to rising coronavirus cases in these areas, the authorities had imposed a micro smart lockdown in three sub-divisions of District South, Karachi.

A notification issued by the district administration stated that multiple localities of Garden, Saddar and Civil Lines areas of District South in Karachi would be under lockdown. 

Assistant Commissioner, Garden, Saddar and Civil Lines had been directed to provide logistic support to implement the lockdown in close coordination with Sindh Health Department and law enforcement agencies. 

The unnecessary movement of the people residing in areas under lockdown shall be restricted. No gathering of three or more persons shall be allowed in public spaces. 

The micro lockdown shall remain until active cases in these areas come down to zero. All businesses shall ensure COVID-19 SOPs are followed in letter and spirit.
