Entrance examination for BSPH held at JSMU

KARACHI: Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) recently conducted an admission examination for the BSPH programme at the APPNA Institute of Public Health. 

Prof Shahid Rasul, Acting Vice-Chancellor, JSMU, expressed that "JSMU's BSPH programme gives professional undergraduate training to fresher students so that they can be supportive in strengthening the healthcare system in our community."

Dr Fatima Abid, Director of the Office of Admissions, went to the examination site to supervise the process and ensure that the entry examinations went smoothly.

Fatima Abid claimed that more than 150 individuals applied for the test, of which just 80 qualified to take it. There are 45 open merit seats and five self-finance seats out of a total of 50.

Lubna Ansari Baig, Chairperson, APPNA Institute of Public Health, JSMU, emphasised that the BSPH programme at the APPNA Institute of Public Health encourages students to engage in community service and research through capstone projects.

The Office of Admissions announced that interviews for the BSPH programme would take place on Saturday, and results will be made public the following week.
