Chinese Consul General visit Altamash General Hospital

KARACHI: Mr Li Bijian, Chinese Consul General, Karachi, visited Altamash General Hospital in Clifton.  

On this occasion, Mr Li Bijan, along with Prof Dr Muhammad Altamash, President, Altamash General Hospital, visited different wards of the hospital and appreciated the medical facilities provided in the hospital.  

Speaking on occasion, Mr Li Bijian said that Karachi is the sixth-largest city in the world, where more hospitals need to be built.  

"I am happy to see that Altamash General Hospital has equipped with modern technology and standard medical treatment facilities". He said China had invested heavily in the health sector in Pakistan in the context of CPEC, with a large number of Chinese engineers, technicians and workers from other sectors. The work on various CPEC projects in Sindh and Balochistan province is underway. He further said that the infrastructure in CPEC has been almost completed.  

It was further revealed that China is in the process of completing a 150-bed hospital in Gwadar. The hospital would provide facilities to the people. He said federal and provincial governments had done a great job by imposing lockdown in the COVID-19 epidemic; therefore, Pakistan has overcome the COVID-19 epidemic.
