Two-day world family medicine moot from Oct 25 

LAHORE: The 34th International Conference on Family Medicine will be organized in Lahore from October 25 to 27 by the Academy of Family Physicians Lahore and the Association of Family Physicians of Pakistan at a local hotel.

Known maxillofacial surgeon and educator Prof. Dr. Arshad Malik, Dean of HBS Dental College Islamabad and Vice President of Section XV of the International College of Dentists (ICD) will be a keynote speaker at the moot.

The three-day conference will be attended by healthcare professionals from across Pakistan and abroad, serving as a major platform for the exchange of knowledge and networking.

Dr. Malik’s presentation will focus on "Oral Manifestations of Hepatitis Patients," highlighting the vital link between oral health and systemic diseases.

Speaking to Dental News, Dr. Malik said, “I am honoured to be invited as a keynote speaker at the International Family Medicine Conference.” He underscored the significance of such events, noting that FAMILYCON plays a crucial role in providing continuing medical education on recent advancements in patient care for primary healthcare practitioners.

FAMILYCON aims to improve the knowledge, skills, competence, and performance of healthcare providers, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

The conference will feature specialised networking sessions, allowing participants to engage with peers and discuss best practices in family medicine.
