One of Pakistan's top doctors has suggested that the two toddlers, one from Karachi and the other from Larkana, may have measles.
The Director-General of Sindh Health Services also clarified the rumours.
The Sindh Health Department will meet with the World Health Organization (WHO) next week to request technical support in the diagnosis of monkeypox, Bahoto said.
Dr Saeed Khan, Professor of Pathology, Dow University of Health Sciences, told that investigations are underway to diagnose monkeypox on the university's Ojha Campus.
