KARACHI: In response to a dramatic increase in new infections, the Sindh Health Department advised Karachi and Hyderabad's commissioners on Thursday, instructing them to guarantee adherence to COVID-19 recommendations.
Meeting chaired by Abdul Qadir Patel
The letter referred to a meeting chaired by Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel to review the COVID-19 situation at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). It stated that the increase in the number of cases could be partially attributed to recently reported BA4/BA5 Omicron sub-variants in the country.
