KARACHI- The Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) lacked to fulfill the services provided by the hospital’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and patient wards, due to shortage of their nursing and paramedical staff, in light of the country’s general election’18 day.
Executive Director, Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases, wrote a letter to Senior Director, Medical & Health Services, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), which stated that as per report of Assistant Director Nursing, KIHD, the management of KIHD would be unable to run their CCU, Male and Female patient wards, as most of their nursing and paramedical staff are assigned with election duties.
