Shahid Khaqan Abbasi tests positive for COVID 

KARACHI: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has tested positive for COVID-19 and has quarantined himself. 

The reference of illegal recruitment in PSO against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others is under hearing in the accountability court. 

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's lawyer Khawaja Naveed Ahmed has filed an exemption application in the accountability court after the former prime minister tested positive for COVID.    

The lawyer said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi contracted coronavirus, after which he has isolated himself. For this reason, he shall be unable to travel from Islamabad to Karachi, and should therefore be exempted from attendance.
