MoU signed between DUHS and DICE

KARACHI - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said here that with the transfer of technology by overseas Pakistanis, settled in the United States, not only our people will benefit, but our technologists and scientists, in collaboration with business community, will also be able to produce latest machines and equipments at much lower cost.

He was speaking at a ceremony held to inaugurate National Institute of Liver & GI Diseases (NILGID) and to lay the foundation stone of Trauma Centre at Dow University.

A ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) and Distinguished Innovation, Collaboration and Entrepreneurship (DICE), USA, was also held in the presence of the chief minister.

DUHS vice chancellor Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, Prof. Shaikh Nadeem Ahmed, Prof. Rana Qamar and other senior faculty members of the university were present on the occasion.

Prof. Masood Hameed Khan informed the CM that overseas Pakistanis, working in the field of medical and biomedical, were keenly interested in bringing health-related innovations and technologies to Pakistan.
